The 10th edition of Milano City Marathon will have a Medal

Yes, you’ve got it! This year the 10th edition of Milano City Marathon will finally have its official medal, which will award all the participants who will be able to cross the finishing line on April 11th.

As the Milano City Marathon press agency affirmed, the medal design has been chosen among several projects created by students of Liceo Artistico Boccioni of Milano, Istituto Professionale di stato Caterina da Siena of Milan and Liceo Artistico Villa Reale of Monza who participated in the competition.

As it used to be, visitors will find also the Marathon Village, which will be set up in Largo Feltrami from Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th April. In addition, the most expected sport event in Milan schedules important side events: the Charity Program, linked to the Relay Marathon, and the Milano School Marathon.

We’re talking about not only a day dedicated to fun and sport, but also an opportunity to run for a good purpose, for a charitable action of hope in favor of the most needy categories. Not just a simple competition, an occasion for lending a hand thanks to the participation and cooperation of the three main non profit organizations involved in this important project.

And for the ones who don’t feel real athletes, there’s the Realy Marathon, dedicated to the people who just want to have fun and run for a good purpose, just as it was a challenge among colleagues, friends and relatives.

And now, let’s get to the point and let’s talk about the NEW ITINERARY!
In fact, the 42,195 km long course this time will not start from the centre of the city but from via Buonarroti in Rho-Pero, in the new exhibition centre of Milan. Athletes will run in the direction of San Siro, crossing the Bosco in Città and keep on going in the direction of Corso Sempione. Along the itinerary which will lead them to the famous Piazza Duomo, participants will meet the historical Arena Civica, and they will run along Corso Venezia getting in this way to Piazza San Babila.

The participants’ arrival will take place in the wonderful scenery of the Sforza Castle.

Don’t miss this fantastic event: it could be a perfect occasion to visit the city of Milan!
