Antiques Exhibition Market in Rome, from 16th to 24th October 2010

The 5th edition of the Antiques Exhibition Market comes back in Rome from 16th to 24th October with 3,000 pieces of art and a 2000 sq. m. area for Roman, Italian and foreign antiques.

rench, English and Italian furniture, oriental rugs, paintings and much more, much-sought pieces chosen by experts in the field of art, collectors and art-addicts.

At the Museum of S. Spirito in Sassia, placed in via di Borgo S. Spirito 1, close to Castel Sant’Angelo and St. Peter in Vaticano, a unique mix between past and present waits for you, where you will find works by Andy Warhol, Giorgio de Chirico and Giuseppe Migneco.

An exhibition area rich in history and art will host such an exhibition organized by the association “Provarte”, under the patronage of Comune di Roma and dei Municipi di Roma I Centro Storico and XVII, in cooperation with Chamber of Commerce of Rome.

The inauguration day will take place on 15th October at 8.00 pm at the Museum of S. Spirito in Sassia with the presence of many renowned personages and experts of the sector.

In addition, the events schedules a side exhibition: the competition among chefs, by Luigi Cremona, which will take place in the beautiful cloister near the itinerary of “Antiquari nella Roma Rinasicmentale”, where an important wine-and-food event will take place. Young talents and famous chefs will challenge each others from 16th to 18th October in the contest called “Cooking for Art”, where the “best emerging chef of center Italy” will be awarded.

But it’s not enough! As a matter of fact, from 21st to 24th there will be also “Gourmet Hotel Collection”, the national event aimed to enhance the formula of “Bed&Dinner”. The best in Italy activities adhering to the initiative will have the chance to let visitors tasting their culinary specialties.

The opening hours is the following: everyday from 11.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. Only on Friday 22nd October from 11.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m.
