The Milan event dedicated to design is just around the corner.
Together with the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition presents a wide and varied range of proposals showcasing 360° of domestic furnishing solutions both in terms of typology – from stand-alone pieces to coordinates – and in terms of style – from classical to design to modern – not to mention the trendsetters of tomorrow.
The city and its habitants, especially in hotels and restaurants, are preparing for welcoming guests from all over the world.
The side events scheduled are so many: exhibitions, conferences and many more.
From April 12th to 17th, the fairs district Rho will host the 50th edition of the Saloni. The pavilions of the International Furniture Exhibition will be divided into: design, classic and modern.
The event is reserved for the operators of the sector. The exhibition will be open to the public only on Sunday 17th.
This year, exhibitors will be 1,450. Other protagonists of this edition, together with the International Furniture Exhibition and Complemento d’Arredo (furnishing accessories), will be the biennial Euroluce and the SaloneUfficio (office furniture exhibition)
Euroluce is the international exhibition for the sector of Light with a high-quality range of offers, historical benchmark of design, where technological and formal innovation meet each other.
SaloneUfficio is the international benchmark for the best production of the sector dedicated to the office, banks, insurance institutes, post offices, besides solutions for the home office.
There will be also the Salone Satellite and the talent and innovation of the young designers. The exhibition – please take notes – is always open to the public.
In addition, we can’t forget about the other many exhibitions! At Triennale Design Museum there will be the exhibition created by Alberto Alessi called Le fabbriche dei sogni. Uomini, idee, imprese e paradossi delle fabbriche del design italiano (Factories of dreams. Men, ideas, companies and paradoxes of the factories of Italian design).
Other not-to-be-missed appointments are: Principia in Dome Square, an exhibition created by Denis Santachiara about the inspiration of science and Cuore Bosco, a multimedia installation in Piazza San Fedele.
Contemporaneously with the events taking place in the district of Rho, there will also be the renowned Fuori Salone, a number of events open to everyone which involve the whole city of Milan. The main districts hosting the many initiatives are: Tortona, Brera and Lambrate Ventura. The Fabbrica del Vapore in via Procaccini is the district dedicated to the “green thinking”.
So, the International Furniture Exhibition 2011 will involve the entire city of Milan in order to offer people an occasion for thinking about design, the industry world that made it possible, creativity and culture.
