26th edition of Roma Europa Festival comes back with contemporary arts on display

Countdown for Roma Europa Festival 2011 has just begun. The festival will put on display 39 different appointments from October, 7th to November, 3rd.

Contemporary arts and languages come back in all their glory: dance, music, theatre. An explosive mix among sounds, colours, movements, images and emotions. The themes of the new artistic adventure will be five: Scene, Digitalife, DNA-danza nazionale autoriale, Corpi resistenti, Suoni.

The 26th edition of the festival will have 39 events on the calendar, where both authors and artists will put out a challenge to their audience, as the festival title says, “Try the impossible” analysing the developing present and going beyond the possible limits for redefining our time.

The great names coming back to the festival are: Romeo Castellucci, Jan Fabre, Lloyd Newson and DV8, Saburo Teshigawara, Trisha Brown, Peter Brook, Mario Brunello and The Irrepressibles, but there are also many new personages of new generations, such as the artist Hofesh Shechter, Ricci|Forte and Muta Imago, Yuval Avital, Juste Janulyt? and Luca Scarzella, Fabio Cifariello Ciardi and Uri Caine.

17th October, Circolo degli artisti: Arhitecture in Helsinki
18th, 19th, 22nd October, Maxxi: Trisha Brown Dance Company
22nd October, Circolo degli artisti: Anna Calvi
27th October, Auditorium Conciliazione: Hofesh Schechter Company
