Ready to go? Start is near and the city of Rome is already shivering with excitement. Rome Marathon comes back with its 18th edition on Sunday 18th March 2012.
Participants will start at 9 am at Fori Imperiali and you will also have the chance to watch the whole events on TV on La7 channel for the first time from 8 to 12 am and on streaming on the official website.
This edition will boast of 16,000 runners, who, this year, will be unwilling protagonists of the movie “Spirit of the Marathon 2nd”.
The capital is ready to welcome thousands participants who will invade the city streets and will take part in one of the greatest and most striking marathons in the world.
Once again, Roma Fun, the 4 km long non-competitive run, will take place after the marathon start, and this year participants are expected to be 100,000.
The Marathon Village is already open to the public and participants can already draw their numbers and competitors’ packages.
Good news: the organization will allow participants to use transportation for free (busses, tram lines, A and B subway lines, urban railway lines) on Sunday 18th March: they will just have to wear their numbers.
