In memory of the great Italian poet Gabriele D’Annunzio, 33rd edition of Versiliana Festival has just begun and will keep on entertaining spectators until 25th August, with magical theatre performances, concerts, shows…

Versiliana Festival is the most important event of Versilia’s cultural summer. It takes place at the open-air theatre of Parco della Versiliana in the city of Pietrasanta (Versilia coast, Tuscany).

Italy would not be called “dolce vita” if there are not so many festivals and historical events. Especially Tuscany has a huge repertoire of festivals full of tradition. Almost each Tuscany village has its own traditional and individual festival with its many culinary specialties of each region.

Always a good reason to celebrate for Mediterranean countries is in September and November where people celebrate thanksgiving for their olives and wine harvest. The residents of the country are always happy about visitors and tourists and are generous hosts.

One of the most awaited concerts in Italy is coming: the May Day Concert in Rome, as usual, will see hundreds of young people coming from all over Italy to watch the musical festival organized by the Italian trade unions CGIL, CSL and UIL on the occasion of the International Workers’ Day.

The concert will take place in Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano from 3.05 p.m. to midnight: emerging bands and singers will be the first to go on stage and from 4 p.m. onwards it will be other guests’ turn.

The 2012 edition will be introduced by the actor Francesco Pannofino and

“Danza in Fiera”, the greatest European event dedicated to dance, is ready to come back in Florence from 23rd to 26th February 2012.

Four days in which Fortezza da Basso will host several events and live performances belonging to the whole world of dance: classic, contemporary, modern, Latin-American, ethnic dance, tango, hip hop, musicals, waltz, burlesque and also pilates, a perfect sport for training to dance.

As usual, visitors will find at 7th edition hundreds stands offering the best products for dance, shows, live performances of famous dancers
