Exhibition of the Oh Bej Oh Bej in Milan is back

The exhibition of the “Oh Bej Oh Bej” is one of the most-awaited events in Milan; once again, this year the stands will be back to reawaken Piazza Castello, with thousands curiosities, peluches, antiques, bijoux and many other things!

The name comes from the expressions of the children looking at the rich presents which were sent to the city by Pope IV in 1510. This revived the religious enthusiasm of the citizens for the celebration of the Patron Saint.

42.195 Kilometres (26 miles and 385 yards) through lots of breathtaking glimpses of world-famous landscapes and sights; a race through Piazza Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and the unique Ponte Vecchio, to have its end in the prestigious Piazza Santa Croce.

This is the most important street running event in Tuscany, and by now it’s also become the main one in Italy and among the first 20 in the world for number of contestants and quality.

St Mary of Health celebrations take place in Venice every year on 21st November. On this occasion, Venetians use to celebrate this day joining the Basilica of St Mary of Health and asking the “Black Madonna” (on the high altar) health wishes for themselves or a relative. All day long, the basilica is filled by people who want to pray.

In Rio Terà dei Catecumeni, celebrations keep going on with balloons, cotton candy and candies!

Oil festival in Montepescali, 2012

On November 19th and 20th, the typical Tuscan “Oil Festival” will be held in the little town of Montepescali (Grosseto).

The Oil Festival in Montepescali is not only an exhibition of the local products and oil or a tasting of several kinds of Tuscan food, but also a meeting point for craftsmen with their own characteristic objects and a place where people can enjoy moments of musical entertainment and fun, especially families and children.

In addition, as you will see, Montepescali has a wonderful view including also the French island of Corsica. This little town is also called the “balcony of the Maremma“.
