Spring in Italy

girasoliThe nice weather is coming back in Italy along with springtime! In order to enjoy these sweet days, there’s nothing better than discover or rediscover  the most beautiful Italian gardens or to organise some excursion in one of the many natural parks of the country.

We gave a look to our tour guides and found activities for you to make the most of your spring trip in Italy. Here are our suggestions.

Florence and Tuscany

If you’re in Florence you should enjoy a visit at the Giardino delle Rose (the Roses Garden) which has a wonderful panoramic view on the cathedral and its dome. In May, the place becomes tinged with the colors of all the different roses blooming.

The Giardino di Boboli, the biggest and most famous park of Florence is situated behind the Palazzo Pitti and hosts numerous fountains and statues. Based on the Italian garden style, this garden is also mentioned in Dan Brown’s famous novel, Inferno.

Sanremo 2014! the 64th edition from February 18 to 22

Also this year the 64th edition of the Italian Song Festival of Sanremo will take place at the Ariston Theatre from February 18 to 22.

The Festival will be presented for the second year by Fabio Fazio and Luciana Littizzetto.

On stage will take turns grate names as Gino Paoli, Laetitia Casta and Raffaella Carra.

There are also ongoing talks to have as guest Paolo Nutini, and Enrico Brignano.

Here the program of the five nights at the Ariston Theatre:

- Tuesday, February 18: beginning of the 64th edition of the Festival. Will be heard the first 7 “Big” and will be presented the 8 “young” for the category “New Proposals“.

- Wednesday, February 19: during the second night will perform the remaining 7 “Big” and we will listen to the 4 songs from
the “New Proposals“.

- Thursday, February 20: the 14 “Big” will perform accompanied by a customer and at the end of the night will be stipuleted
a ranking.

- Friday, February 21: the artists will perform classic italian songs and will be declared the winner of the category
young“.

- Saturday, February 22: during the final night of the Festival, we will hear the 14 songs and will be declared the winner
of the 64th edition of the Sanremo Festival.

ArteGenova 2014! Ten years in the Blue Pavillon

From February 14 to 17 returns the appointment with the Exhibition of Modern and Contemporary “ArteGenova”, an international
reference point for collectors, professionals and fans.

The event offers a wide variety of cultural cues like conferences, round tables, meetings with gallery owners, live
performances and other events.

While proposing world-renowned artists, ArteGenova turns his attention to the new expressions of contemporary art,
dedicating a whole space for contemporary art accessible to everyone.

Genoa, Palazzo Ducale: exhibition of Edvard Munch

Edvard Munch in GenoaUntil April, 27th, we will have the chance to enjoy the special exhibition of the Norwegian master at Doge’s Palace in Genoa (in the Region of Liguria).

A wonderful opportunity to see the exhibition organized by the director of Pinacotheque de Paris, Marc Restellini.

The exhibition – made up of over 120 works – tells the story of the artist and his evolutionary transition from Naturalism to a new and daring painting.

53rd Genoa International Boat Show

From October 2nd to 6th 2013, the International Boat Show comes back in Genoa with several meetings, itineraries and initiatives for adults and children.

The Boat Show has a brand new layout made up a 180,000-sqm exhibition area, 100,000 of which are on water, 6 different exposition areas, all kinds of boats on display (from powerboats to sailing boats, from tender boats to maxi yatchs) from 1,85 to 80 m long boats.
