From February 8th to 10th the MILAN FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL, an event dedicated to the great protagonists of wine and cuisine.

For this third edition 100 winemakers have been selected by Helmuth Köcher, President and Founder of the Merano Wine Festival.
Every winemaker will present 4 wines for a total of 400 labels.

The public will enjoy an exceptional overview of the best Italian and international productions, moreover people will personally meet  the producers.

Throughout the duration of the event  there will be 24 between chefs, pastry chefs and pizza makers.

On Sunday 9th from 1pm to 3pm, a special appointment with “Great food, small plates”, delicacies proposed by chefs coming from 6 different restaurants.

2014 NEWS: “Food Experience Mondadori” an area dedicated to all the people – both adult or child – who want to try cooking classes, attend cooking show or guided tastings. Participation is free and included in the Festival entrance price..

Milan: Franco Grignani And His “Optical Mental Alterations”

From January 23 to March 15, it will be possible to visit the exhibition dedicated to Franco Grignani at Gruppo Credito Valtellinese Galley in Milan.

The objective of Manuela Grignani, Leo War and Cristina Quadrio Curzio, curators of the exhibition, is to return to the complexity of the artist.

Born in 1908 in Pieve Porto Morone, he attended architecture in Turin where he is influenced by the second Futurism.

He Began to experiment and create his first works combining theories of perception and psychology of form.

Thanks to the Milan printing Alfieri & Lacroix, he sought new forms of typography and creates optical systems that affected and influenced the European colleagues.

Later he became art director of “Beauty of Italy”, press organ of Dompè, the pharmaceutical company that engaged him in the packaging of products.

He continued his project of urban representation in order to overcome the physiological limits.

These works brought international recognition to the artist as the Palme d’Or for advertising in 1959 and the gold medal to the Triennale in Milan.

Marco Bongiorni Exhibition in Milan – Rivoli 2

On January 16th, 2014, the Foundation for Contemporary Art, Rivoli2 will be inaugurated in Milan.

The foundation is an innovative exhibition area that will host the most current instances of contemporary culture.

Located in the heart of Brera, close to the small theater Strehler, Rivoli2 is a kind of workshop where research, arts and creativity will be mixed.

The space – extended up to 140 square meters on four levels – is open to young artists and curators.

Christmas events: Saint Ambrose Festival and Oh Bej, Oh Bej Fair In Milan

On Saint Ambrose festival, religious and popular event, Milan citizens go to the St. Ambrose Basilica to attend the mass for the Holy Patron Saint.

On such an occasion, every year theOh Bej, Oh Bej” fair is held in Milan streets - from 6th to 8th December – in the area near Sforza Castle.

The name of the fair was born in 1510 from the cries of children for the gifts that Pope Pius IV sent them.

The gifts, full of sweets and games, served to rekindle the enthusiasm of the religious faithful in Milan.

At the fair, visitors will find hundreds stalls where scavengers, artists, craftsmen and florists change the city with their beautiful toys, books, prints, sweets, tastes and sensations.

The ex FS trains depot in Milan will be set up with authentic circus tents for this expected night. The line up of the event will transport you in a wide range of musical dimension, techno of Dj Emerson, electro of Vitalic, until 90s music with Datura e Marco Ravelli. The admission fee is €25,00.

Turin: Moviment Music Festival 2013!

8th edition of this unmissable event will start on October, 31st and end on November 2nd. The Halloween Night will take place at the Lingotto Fiere with a super line up. On the main stage consolle Magda, Adam Bayer, Ben Klock, Pan Pot will perform together with many more. The admission fee is €32,00.
