After the very animated summer 2006, this year the Milan’s municipality offers to the citizens staying at home and to all the tourists visiting the city, a more “moderate” summer, putting in the calendar a series of concerts and cultural events with the aim of delighting, but without shocking, the hot nights of this big Italian chief town. 15 exhibitions, more than 76 concerts, 6 musical reviews, 24 theatrical performances for 95 projections and 4 thematic film reviews are the numbers of this Milanese summer, which takes the name of “La Bella Estate”.
From a cultural point of view, the summer program is rich and varied. Several film reviews have already been projected, which wanted to be tributes to the big Italian cinema and literature’s personalities, such as the tribute to Alberto Moravia on the occasion of his birth’s centenary.
City sights like Vilaggio Barona, the Grassi Theatre, the Studio Theatre, Leonardo Theatre and Libero Theatre, represent this year the main nightlife centres, by housing theatre reviews and recitals. Among the others, the “Machbeth” play comes up directed by Corrado D’Elia, a great success performed again in this days at the Libero Theatre, from 3rd to 21st of July.
