Stramilano 2014, on Sunday March 23rd

Stramilano 2014Piazza Duomo, Piazza Castello and the Civic Arena will be the scenary of the most awaited sports day for young and old people, professionals and amateurs: the Stramilano.
Here are the 3 races in program.

StraMilano 50,000 – Km 10
Sunday, March 23rd, 2014
Cathedral Square will be invaded by runners Stramilano 50,000.
From 7:30 am Milan will be invaded from a colorful “army” and freed from traffick. The Horse Artillery Regiment Voloire will shoot cannon, as a start of the non-competitive race.

Check- in 13:30 – Arena Civica

Stramilanina – 5 Km
Departure at 9.30 am from Piazza Duomo, with the beautiful t -shirt Stramilano, the bag and the bib. The refreshment at mid-term will be an opportunity to refuel with a snack and then run in the direction of Arena Civica to receive the medal of the event and reconnect with all the other participants.

Stramilano International
Half Marathon – 21.097 km
The route of the half marathon is among the most famous in Italy, known for being fast, consists of long straights and stepless.
Departure at 11.00 from Piazza Castello for the competitive race, with Italian and international champions. It’s an opportunity for all FIDAL and IAAF athletes to compete alongside high level runners. Competition and challenge attract every year more than 6,000 members from around the world.

Rome Marathon – 20th Edition

20th Edition Rome MarathonThe 20th Rome Marathon is going to be held on Sunday, March 23rd, starting at 9 am from Via dei Fori Imperiali.
The event involve every year thousands of athletes of all levels, this year more than 17.000 are already entered the race.

For the occasion the historic center of Rome will be closed to traffic, so that the race will cross the most beautiful streets and the most emblematic places of the Eternal City.

The route will pass from the Roman Forum, St. Peter, St. Paul Outside the Walls, Piazza Venezia, the Mouth of Truth, Castel Sant’Angelo, the Foro Italico, Piazza di Spagna, the Trevi Fountain.

Together with the Official Rome Marathon, non professional runners can participate to the RomaFunStracittadina“, a non-competitive run of 4.7 km.

The Rome Marathon is a unique occasion to run in an extraordinary urban environment, that’s why more and more people chose to participate to the race.

Venice Marathon is back: Running in the Lagoon

Get ready! On 27th October, 28th edition of Venice Marathon will take place in the beautiful lagoon.

The A.S.D. Venice Marathon has always been in support of fundraising initiatives and still today tries to help the most unlucky and needy people by supporting the most important social issues. As a matter of fact, this year the Marathon will be run in order to help the “Walk of Life” project about genetic disorders by Telethon, the “Bambini in gamba” project by Alex Zanardi and the “Run for Water – Run for Life” project by Africa Mission.
