2012 edition of “Lucca Comics & Games” is ready to begin

The long-awaited Lucca Comics&Games is back: one of the main events dedicated to comics, animation, games, videogames, fantasy and sci-fi!

The festival will start on November, 1st and end on 4th; the exhibitions have been open from October 20th until the end of the festival.

For the 25th time, there will also be the Original Game Contest: the announcement is online for all the games creators.

From October 29th to November 1st 2010, the city of Lucca in Tuscany will host again the special and renowned event Lucca Comics and Games, four days dedicated to the world of comics, books, fantasy, games and fantastic itineraries.
As usual, for this edition many events are scheduled: meetings with special guests, exhibitions, showcases, screenings, Comics Talks and meetings with editors.
On Saturday 30th October, visitors will find at 10 am at palazzo Ducale the event “WONDERLAND – QUANDO ALICE SE NE ANDO’” – where the NPE presents the new book of the series Nuvole In Tempesta. Tuono Pettinato, Alessio Fortunato, Lorenzo Bartoli, Sergio Ponchione, Elisabetta Melaranci and many other authors will tell us about what happened in the Wonderland after Alice left. Cartasia Preview: Lucca turns into a “Paper Town”

Paper in all shapes and sizes, will be the undisputed protagonist of the city of Lucca from September 5th to October 3rd 2010, thanks to “Cartasia: the Preview”, the event which introduces the fifth edition of Cartasia, the Biennial of Contemporary Art dedicated to paper, which will take place from June 19th to July 18th 2010, when a real open-air exhibition will be set up in the city of Lucca.

 

Artists coming from every corner of the world will participate in the Biennial of Contemporary Art 2010, selected through a competition aimed to encourage the planning and the feasibility of works and projects made just of paper. The masters will create paper works and huge installations which will be placed in the most beautiful squares of the city of Lucca and Porcari (a municipality in the province of Lucca).
