ArteGenova 2014! Ten years in the Blue Pavillon

From February 14 to 17 returns the appointment with the Exhibition of Modern and Contemporary “ArteGenova”, an international
reference point for collectors, professionals and fans.

The event offers a wide variety of cultural cues like conferences, round tables, meetings with gallery owners, live
performances and other events.

While proposing world-renowned artists, ArteGenova turns his attention to the new expressions of contemporary art,

Milan: Franco Grignani And His “Optical Mental Alterations”

From January 23 to March 15, it will be possible to visit the exhibition dedicated to Franco Grignani at Gruppo Credito Valtellinese Galley in Milan.

The objective of Manuela Grignani, Leo War and Cristina Quadrio Curzio, curators of the exhibition, is to return to the complexity of the artist.

Born in 1908 in Pieve Porto Morone, he attended architecture in Turin where he is influenced by the second Futurism.

He Began to experiment and create his first works combining theories of perception and psychology of form.

Thanks to the Milan printing Alfieri & Lacroix, he sought new forms of typography and creates optical systems that affected and influenced the European colleagues.

Later he became art director of “Beauty of Italy”, press organ of Dompè, the pharmaceutical company that engaged him in the packaging of products.

He continued his project of urban representation in order to overcome the physiological limits.

These works brought international recognition to the artist as the Palme d’Or for advertising in 1959 and the gold medal to the Triennale in Milan.

Genoa, Palazzo Ducale: exhibition of Edvard Munch

Edvard Munch in GenoaUntil April, 27th, we will have the chance to enjoy the special exhibition of the Norwegian master at Doge’s Palace in Genoa (in the Region of Liguria).

9th Florence Biennale is coming

Florence Biennale is an independent and self-financed platform where artists from all over the world meet for sharing a unique experience.

The art director of 9th edition is the Professor Rolando Bellini – Professor of History of Art at Accademia delle Belle Arti in Milan – who cooperates with the International Committee for the selection of artists.

The title of the Kermesse, “Ethics: DNA Art”, is inspired by the artist ethical charter of the new millennium presented at the world conference of UNESCO in Florence on March, 11th

Rome Film Festival is coming back!

The 8th Rome Film Festival is finally going to start at the Parco della Musica Auditorium in Rome from November, 8th to 17th 2013.

All the halls of the Auditorium will host several screenings, exhibitions, conferences and debates.

Next to the Auditorium, the Cinema Village will be set for the event with stands and halls.

Also the Via Veneto area (symbol of Italian cinema) will be involved during the days of the event: the street will host the film screenings at the Bernini Bristol Hotel, the Barberini Multisala and the Rome International Film Market.

The conferences will take place at Casa del Cinema, Villa Borghese and Maxxi, while the meetings will take place at the AuditoriumArte.
