Cloisters of Columbus’ Time

Let’s celebrate the discoverer of the New Continent at the several cloisters of Columbus’ time in Genoa.

Like every year, Genoa will host the traveling historical parade called “Cloisters in the time of Columbus”, on October 14th (the Sunday which is the closest to October 12th, date of the discovery of America).

As we all know – though the Spanish keep on denying it – Christopher Columbus was in fact Italian, as he was born in Genoa. Its native city has thus decided to celebrate him with this traveling feast through the ancient cloisters, where he spent his youth.

The Boat Show is back in Genoa with its 52nd edition.

Van Gogh’s and Gauguin’s masterpieces on display in Genoa, Italy

Until 1st May 2012, the exhibition entitled “Van Gogh e il viaggio di Gauguin” will be on display at Palazzo Ducale (Doge’s Palace) in Genoa, Liguria Region.

Genoa Science Festival celebrates the 15oth anniversary of Italian Unification

From October, 21st to November, 2nd 2011, Genova will host the 9th edition of the Science Festival, this year entitled “150 e oltre” (meaning “150 years and above”) in order to pay homage to the anniversary of Italian unification.
