Lucca Comics 2010 has come back. Take a look at the world of Comics & Games

From October 29th to November 1st 2010, the city of Lucca in Tuscany will host again the special and renowned event Lucca Comics and Games, four days dedicated to the world of comics, books, fantasy, games and fantastic itineraries.
As usual, for this edition many events are scheduled: meetings with special guests, exhibitions, showcases, screenings, Comics Talks and meetings with editors.
On Saturday 30th October, visitors will find at 10 am at palazzo Ducale the event “WONDERLAND – QUANDO ALICE SE NE ANDO’” – where the NPE presents the new book of the series Nuvole In Tempesta. Tuono Pettinato, Alessio Fortunato, Lorenzo Bartoli, Sergio Ponchione, Elisabetta Melaranci and many other authors will tell us about what happened in the Wonderland after Alice left. Science and Comics in Lucca: “E Lucean le stelle” Exhibition

The National Museum of Comics and the local council of Lucca want to pay homage to the year of science and astronomy with the special exhibition “E lucean le stelle… Viaggio per immagini e fumetti dal macrocosmo di Galilei al microcosmo di Einstein” (“And stars sparkle…A travel through images and comics from Galileo‘s macrocosm to Einstein’s microcosm”), an idea by Angelo Nencetti began on last 2nd May, which will continue until 31st December 2009.

The exhibition wants to pay homage to science and its greatest protagonists, such as Galileo, Einstein, Darwin and Newton, by exhibiting tales and comics created by the greatest international artists, as: Salgari, Enrico de’ Conti Novelli da Bertinoro, Jules Verne, Michael W. Kaluta, Fritz Lang, Weird Science, Hugo Pratt, Gradimir Smudja and many others.
