Motorcycle World Championship 2013: The Event Of The Year In Mugello

Once again, in the first weekend of June, the beautiful valley of Mugello and the town of Scarperia will host the Gran Prix of Italy TIM 2013, which has been confirmed the most awaited and important two-wheels sport event of the year: every year, the event attracts thousands of fans from all over the world.

In 1976, Mugello International Circuit hosted its first Gran Premio, and in 1991, after being completely renovated, became a fixed landmark in the calendar of the season: its fame is given by the spectacular circuit

Mugello Circuit awarded as “BEST GRAND PRIX 2011″

Probably for motorbike lovers it’s a confirmation: the Mugello circuit is the most favourite by all riders and motogp followers. And now it’s official, since Mugello circuit has just won theBest Grand Prix 2011” prize.

The trophy is given directly by pilots, mechanics, sport journalists and experts through the IRTA association.

The prize has been awarded for the circuit track quality, the Mugello staff efficiency, the quality of services offered and certainly, and also for the peculiar skill to “make everyone feel at home”, typical of Mugello circuit of Scarperia, as expressed by the words of the IRTA President Herve Poncharal.

The prize, awarded since 1976, has been won by the Mugello Circuit for the 5th time.

The Grand Prix of Italy, thanks to recently-signed agreements, will continue to race in Mugello for the next 5 years.

On July, 15th 2012, the Tuscan circuit will host the 9th round of the MotoGP World Championship.

The countdown for the most expected events in Tuscany has just begun: from 1st to 24th July in Lucca will be held the Lucca Summer Festival 2011, a series of live concerts introducing famous international and Italian musicians and singers.

Actually the opening of such an event had to begin with the American band Blink 182 but they cancelled their world tour for lack of new material and postponed it to next year. By the way, we will not miss them because there will be such international artists like Elton John, Ben Harper, Arcade Fire, B.B. King, Joe Cocker and
