WELCOME TO PITTI IMMAGINE UOMO!!!

Today the 73th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo starts, with the aim of presenting the collection fall / winter 2008/2009.

As usual, the event will be hosted by the areas located inside the Fortezza da Basso and the Stazione Leopolda, in Florence.

The novelty this year is represented by Pitti W_Woman Precollection, where a special selection of international brands will present the previews of approximately 40 pre-collections.

With 727 companies, 897 brands (302 of them coming from abroad) Pitti Immagine Uomo has been aknowledged and confirmed as one of the most important events in the field of Italian men’s fashion.

Pitti Immagine is able to join business and creativity and Pitti Immagine Uomo in particular, is the place where you can find all about the new trends for mens.

Another innovation this year is represented by a new project called “Axessories”: the new draft of Pitti Uomo dedicated to the world of men’s accessories.

Celebrates its 9th edition “New Beat (s)”, the space reserved to the entry of emerging designers, which will present this year, 14 brand previews coming from all around the world.

You can’t lose the 100 ROBOT outside the Fortezza da Basso: an installation created by the Architect and Designer Oliviero Baldini.

Also the exhibition dedicated to Donna Simonetta and organised by the Fondazione Pitti Discovery is something really interesting.

This first show about Simonetta will be held at the Galleria del Costume in Palazzo Pitti, Florence. (more…)

Welcome to Pitti Immagine 2007

On the 20th of June, today, Florence will open its doors to the 72nd edition of PITTI IMMAGINE which means one of the most famous event in Florence and one of the most important shows in the world of fashion. The show is divided into three events in an interval of two weeks:

• PITTI UOMO
  June 20th - 23rd: World-wide preview collections of apparel and accessories for spring-summer 2008
• PITTI BIMBO
  June 29th – July 1st: International preview of apparel and accessories collections for children, boys and teenagers from 0 to 18 years of age, maternity and toddler articles for spring-summer 2008.
• PITTI FILATI
  July 4th – 6th: Preview of the collections for spring-summer 2008 of spins to you for maglieria.

The event opener, as it is now by custom, will be PITTI UOMO, the male fashionable preview that every year gives the way to the season of the European and international fairs.
