St Michael Feast and Donkey Race in Carmignano

St Michael Feast was born in 16th century in a “sacred and profane” context and it offers visitors musical entertainment, folk songs, games and much more!

It takes place in September, from 28th to 30th, during which the four districts of the little town of Carmignano (in the province of Prato, Tuscany) challenge each other showing their own parade, with music, costumes and decorated floats.

The districts are distinguished by name and colour: white for “la Torre” (the Tower district), yellow for “il Leone” (the Lion), green for “l’Arte” (the Art) and blue for “l’Arcangelo” (Archangel).

Mugello Ferrari Challenge, September 21st – 23rd

The CSAI (Italian Automotive Sports Committee) Italian Championship is back in the wonderful land of Mugello!

A fascinating weekend dedicated to the world of engines, with races and lots of surprises.

Venice Historical Regatta on 2nd September 2012

For all Venetians and foreign visitors, on Sunday 2nd September will take place the famous Venice Historical Regatta.

It is the main event in the yearly “Voga alla Veneta” rowing calendar. This unique sport has been practiced in the Venetian lagoon for thousands of years and today it is well-known for the spectacular historical water parade preceding the race.

Many 16th century-style boats with gondoliers in period costume carry the Doge, the Doge’s wife and all the Venetian officials along the Grand Canal

Siena Horse Race comes back on 16th August 2012

Are you ready?

One of the most awaited events, the Palio di Siena (Siena Horce Race), every year taking place on 2nd July and 16th August, is coming back with its second appointment.

Once again, on 16th August, the shell-shaped square Piazza del Campo, famous all over the world for its particular aspect, will host the crowd of fans and a great show.
