The 55th edition of Palio dei Somari, a race among donkeys, will take place in Torrita di Siena (a town located near Siena, in Tuscany) from 17th to 25th March 2012.

It is a competition among 8 donkeys, each one representing one of the eight contradas (districts) of the city and it has become a traditional event appreciated by Tuscans and also many visitors.
